Windemere Boat Launch

The Colchester Point Fishing Access Area on the Winooski River is an easily-accessible and productive fishing spot within a short walk, bike ride or drive of downtown Burlington. It provides top notch fishing opportunities all year round. This large concrete boat dock includes a large parking lot, and a summer restroom is available.

Malletts Bay Boat Launch

For direct access to Lake Champlain, enjoy the Mallets Bay Access Area. Accommodates a wide variety of boat sizes from small to large and anything in between. Plenty of parking is available and there are no costs to use the facility.

The Causeway

Once built as an access point to connect the New England coast to the Great Lakes area for the Rutland-Canadian Railroad, the Colchester Causeway Trail is a 10.9 mile heavily trafficked bike path. The Causeway now sits atop huge marble boulders and extends three miles out into the middle of the lake. This trail is open for walkers, and bikers of all levels. Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and the surrounding landscape. If you wish to continue on, there is a seasonal bike ferry that brings riders across to South Hero and Allen Point Access Park.


Airport Park

Airport Park is conveniently located on the Island Line Trail Bike Path, which connects to the historic Colchester Causeway Path on Lake Champlain. The park includes ample parking, 1 pavilion, 1.3 mile perimeter jogging trail, 2 sand volleyball courts, 2 soccer fields, 2 tennis courts, and 4 baseball fields. During the colder months, there are 2 outdoor, fully-lit ice rinks installed for endless winter fun!

Sunset Drive-In

Park your car and enjoy a double feature under the stars. Open since 1948, this Colchester landmark includes 4 colossal movie screens, snack bar, restroom, playground and mini golf. Enjoy a night out in the summer with family or friends from the comfort of your own car.
